Joseph Sanchez Mena, better known as Unclejoe, is shaking up the music and entertainment scene with his groundbreaking platform, Unclejoe Podcast, and now he’s leveling up with the launch of his newest project — the One Mic series. Designed to amplify both signed and unsigned talent, One Mic is already being hailed as one of the hottest new mic drop platforms on the rise, especially in the Midwest.
At just 28 years old, Unclejoe has become one of the top promoters in Ohio, known for creating opportunities for artists who often go overlooked. The Unclejoe Podcast was launched three years ago and quickly grew a loyal following, but two months ago, he decided it was time to go even bigger — launching One Mic to finally put the spotlight on his state and city in a major way.
With past collaborations featuring names like BlockWork TV (NYC), Fitz, Tay Rock, Auntie’s House, and Pauly Flex, Unclejoe is building his own lane — and bringing others with him. A proud Garifuna from Honduras, Unclejoe stands as the only Honduran promoter in the state of Ohio and one of the few in the U.S. making major waves in the music industry. His bilingual, multicultural reach has allowed him to connect with artists from diverse backgrounds, including Spanish-speaking countries, Africa, and Jamaica.
He’s already made history — becoming the only Honduran in America to feature Bow Wow on a mic drop and interview platform. With One Mic, Unclejoe is setting the tone for 2025 and beyond, determined to create a stage that brings real recognition to overlooked regions, cultures, and voices in music.
