O-Town Is Officially “Certified Delulu,” and Honestly, We’re Here for It!

Twenty-five years, countless memories, and zero interest in acting their age. O-Town is back with a ridiculously fun pop anthem that proves a little delusion might just be the secret to staying fabulous.

Remember when boy bands ruled the world, frosted tips were a legitimate fashion statement, and you couldn’t turn on the radio without hearing “All or Nothing”? Well, O-Town remembers, too. But instead of clinging to their glory days, they’re busy creating some brand-new ones, and their latest single, “Certified Delulu,” is proof that these guys still know how to have a seriously good time.

And yes, they’re completely in on the joke.

With a title ripped straight from the TikTok generation’s vocabulary, “Certified Delulu” is a cheeky, confidence-boosting pop anthem about being the main character in your own life, even when reality might suggest otherwise. It’s playful, unapologetic, and bursting with the kind of infectious energy that makes you want to turn up the volume, throw on your sunglasses, and strut through the grocery store like you’re walking a red carpet.

The song’s gloriously overconfident declaration, “I’m the main event in my own head,” pretty much sums up the entire vibe. Is it delusional? Maybe. Is it fabulous? Absolutely.

What makes this release particularly charming is that Jacob Underwood, Trevor Penick, Erik-Michael Estrada, and Dan Miller aren’t pretending it’s still 2001. They’re embracing exactly who they are today: four grown men with 25 years of stories, plenty of experience, and absolutely nothing left to prove.

Musically, “Certified Delulu” delivers the polished pop appeal that made O-Town household names, only this time with a fresh, modern attitude and a wink to the audience. The production is sleek, the personality is enormous, and the whole thing feels refreshingly free of the desperation that sometimes accompanies nostalgic comeback attempts. These guys aren’t chasing their younger selves. They’re having a blast being their current selves.

And frankly, that’s a whole lot more interesting.

There’s also something genuinely heartwarming about watching a group that started on Making the Band continue making music together a quarter-century later. While plenty of their contemporaries have disappeared into the pop history books, O-Town has built an impressive second act rooted in friendship, creative independence, and a shared love of performing.

That camaraderie gives “Certified Delulu” its real magic. Beneath the jokes and larger-than-life confidence is a surprisingly uplifting message: believe in yourself, embrace your weirdness, and don’t let anyone convince you that your best days are behind you.

Who knew a song about being a little delusional could feel so wonderfully grounded?

Ultimately, “Certified Delulu” is a delightful reminder that pop music doesn’t always need to be deep, dramatic, or desperately serious to make an impact. Sometimes, all you need is a catchy attitude, a healthy dose of self-awareness, and four guys who clearly still love what they do.

Twenty-five years later, O-Town isn’t just surviving the boy-band era. They’re laughing, thriving, and rewriting the rules of what comes next.

And if believing you’re still the main event after all these years makes you delulu? Well, sign us up. We’re officially certified, too.
