SLAVVY has released his synthwave R&B single/video “Lavender”

Miami-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Rostislav Vaynshtok aka Slavvy shows us his prowess in the R&B and bedroom-pop genres with his alluringly dark new single and video “Lavender”, co-produced by Sighost. The drop marks the beginning of a new project called “Romantic” for the artist, formerly known as Abdecaf.

“Lavender” channels a heavy “80s meets The Weeknd” influence with its catchy trap beat and new wave feel. The track takes a deep dive into the darkness of the hedonistic life of bright lights, fast cars, and infidelity. Slavvy shares with us, It’s a bad time soundtracked by regret and guilt, but neither of those things are going to trigger your better judgement. You’re just in this, and you accept it. The hook is the hook for a reason. That’s just how I am.

In the video, directed by Slavvy and Juan Orta, we find Slavvy looking nonchalant as he counts stacks of cash atop a sports car. With its neon-lit visuals and alluring shots of grainy television footage, you’d be hard pressed not to instantly see the vaporwave aesthetic going on.

Since arriving on the scene a decade ago, Vaynshtok has sold-out live performances, performed under the likes of Com Truise, and generated millions of cumulative streams across platforms. Vaynshtok’s abilities as a live performer have also seen him tear up the US festival circuit, having performed at Electric Zoo, Northcoast, Counterpoint to name a few.

Stay tuned for more from Slavvy very soon and be sure to follow up on Instagram to stay up to date with his highly aesthetic adventures.
