Young RJ Pays Homage to J-Dilla with Phat Kat & Guilty Simpson New Song, “I Know”

“I Know” discusses the issues arising from Black Men being products of their environment. Due to the intricate economic systems put in place, Black men have been set up to fail from the womb (or beginning). Many feel this is a controversial topic, with a lot of truth behind it. A particular verse that stands out is, “wanna see a ni*ga fail, they wanna see me dead or in jail,” says Young RJ.

Coming off the heels of his successful freshman release “Blaq Royalty”, and his single feat. Joyner Lucas titled “Motion”, Young RJ now releases his first single this year called, “I Know.” The street conscious track sets up his new release, “The Detroit Project” – where fans can expect a full collaboration with Guilty Simpson and Phat Kat. All being respected legends from Detroit. The album is produced by Young RJ and expected to drop soon.
