Buddy – Type of S**t Feat. Wiz Khalifa (Single)

If you haven’t heard of Buddy, you’re slippin’. The Compton bred rapper has been making moves and recently announced his upcoming project Magnolia last week. He kicked off the campaign for his project with the song “That Much” last week which was a flip on your average song about flexing. While he continues to push the EP, which is set to drop in the near future, he’s back to dropping more music to hold us over until the full project. Today, he drops “Type of S**t” featuring the head of Taylor Gang and marijuana connoiseur, Wiz Khalifa.

Last week’s drop of “Too Much” had Buddy challenging the braggadocious rapper norm. “Type of S**t is much different than that. In this single, he drops a celebratory jam for the stoners and realistically, who better to get for a feature other than Wiz Khalifa. With a laid back beat that still kick, it has remnants of Wiz’s days of Kush & OJ as well as Burn After Rolling. Producers Mike & Keyz, who are set to produce Buddy’s Magnolia EP, really did a great job with the production. The beat itself really helps highlight the chemistry between both Khalifa and Buddy.

While this is just the second single off of Buddy’s upcoming project, it’s a good indication of what’s to come. While the collaboration with Wiz is a good look for Buddy, it’s not the first time they’ve shared a track together. The two were also featured on the A$AP Mob’s Cozy Tapes Vol. 1: Friends on “Way Hii” as well as on Problem and DJ Quik’s “This Is Your Problem” alongside JP Cali.

The song is definitely something that will need to be added to your playlist. Whether you’re in your car or at home, this is definitely a song to be bumping whether you’re a smoker or not.
