R&B artist Vance Hardcore is stepping into an exciting new chapter in his musical journey with the release of his latest EP, Rush. The project introduces listeners to a body of work that blends smooth vocals, energetic production, and authentic storytelling. As the music industry continues to evolve, Vance Hardcore is carving out his own lane by merging his roots in rap with a melodic R&B style that reflects both growth and creativity.
The EP Rush is a collection of records that were created over several years, with songs recorded between 2023 and 2025. According to Hardcore, the project came together naturally during that time period while he was working on new music in preparation for his upcoming album Liquid, which is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2026. Rather than waiting until the album release to share new material with fans, he decided to give listeners something fresh that captures the energy and inspiration he has been experiencing in the studio.
The title Rush represents more than just a name. It reflects the feeling Hardcore wants listeners to experience when they press play. The name was inspired by the EP’s opening track, “Rush Hour,” which immediately sets the tone for the project. The record was produced by Atlanta-based producer and artist Shawn Anthony, whose creative input helped shape the sound and direction of the EP. Hardcore describes the track as a perfect introduction to the project, capturing the emotion and momentum that flows throughout the music.
Production on the EP was primarily handled by Shawn Anthony along with rising producer Russell Thomas. Both producers have been instrumental in helping Hardcore bring his vision to life, creating a sound that blends smooth R&B melodies with modern production elements. Their contributions also extend beyond the EP, as both producers are currently working with Hardcore on his upcoming album Liquid.
Another key collaborator in Hardcore’s musical journey is Jacob “Jay Kale” Johnson, a talented multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer who has worked with Hardcore since 2017. Their partnership has produced notable results in the past, including their record “September,” which received a television placement in Japan last year. That international exposure highlighted the strength of their collaboration and opened the door for more opportunities in the future.
One of the standout elements of the Rush EP is its collaborations with other artists. The project features appearances from OG Cuicide and iitsAD, two artists who each bring their own unique style and energy to the music. The collaboration with iitsAD came together organically when he heard one of the records and immediately wanted to contribute a verse. The result is a track that blends strong lyricism with memorable melodies.
OG Cuicide also plays a significant role on the EP. Known for his legendary presence in hip-hop, OG Cuicide delivers a powerful verse that adds depth and authenticity to the project. Hardcore has expressed appreciation for the opportunity to collaborate with an artist he respects, noting that OG Cuicide has been supportive of his musical journey over the years.
For Hardcore, the purpose of Rush is simple: he wants listeners to enjoy the music and have fun with it. Whether someone is playing the songs while driving through the city, relaxing at home, or turning up the volume at a party or club, the EP was created to bring energy and good vibes into everyday moments.
Hardcore’s path to becoming an R&B artist is also unique. While many fans now recognize him for his vocal performances, his background originally began in rap. Over time, he dedicated himself to developing his singing abilities and discovered a natural talent for melody and songwriting. That evolution allowed him to expand his sound and create music that blends emotion, storytelling, and rhythm.
Beyond the studio, Hardcore is also building his brand as an entrepreneur. He recently launched a beverage company called Hardcore Performance, a sparkling water energy drink designed to give consumers a healthier way to stay energized throughout the day. The drink is already available in several stores in his hometown of Louisiana, and the company plans to expand into additional locations in the near future. With new flavors and distribution opportunities on the horizon, Hardcore Performance is quickly becoming another important part of his growing brand.
As Vance Hardcore continues to move forward in his career, the release of Rush marks another important milestone. The EP gives fans a glimpse into the direction his music is heading while building anticipation for the upcoming release of Liquid in 2026.
With new music, strong collaborations, and entrepreneurial ventures developing simultaneously, Vance Hardcore is proving that his momentum is only beginning.
