Music executive and cultural strategist Oscar “Ofoesho” Roberts is continuing to elevate his footprint in the entertainment industry alongside key partners Ty “Swaggalee” Scott and Big Steppa, as the trio pushes forward a powerful expansion of Flip Music Group and its global initiatives.
Born in Richmond, Virginia, and raised in a deeply religious and musically inclined family, Roberts was exposed to the arts from an early age. At just four years old, his family relocated to Los Angeles as his father pursued a career in music and acting — a pivotal move that would shape Roberts’ future. Carrying a rich musical lineage as the great-nephew of legendary jazz icon Ella Fitzgerald, Roberts developed a passion for poetry, songwriting, and performance early on.
Over time, Roberts transitioned from artist to executive, transforming adversity into opportunity. After working alongside high-profile talent throughout his career, he made a defining shift into becoming a master facilitator, manager, and A&R executive, focused on guiding artists and protecting their interests in an increasingly complex industry.
Today, Roberts plays a leading role at Flip Music Group, where he collaborates closely with his cousin, artist and executive Marquis “QuisyG” Goodwin. Together, they are building a platform that merges artistry with business infrastructure — creating opportunities for emerging talent while maintaining a strong emphasis on ownership and long-term growth.
Alongside Roberts, Ty “Swaggalee” Scott and Big Steppa bring strategic energy and cultural influence to the movement. Their partnership represents a unified vision centered on artist development, brand expansion, and global connectivity — positioning Flip Music Group as a rising force in both domestic and international markets.
Beyond music, Roberts is actively engaged in global initiatives through his foundation, The Roberts Liberian Liberties Foundation. As a descendant of Joseph Jenkins Roberts, Liberia’s first president, he is leveraging his heritage to drive impactful programs such as the “Smart Africa / GCC & World Initiative Project.” These efforts aim to bridge opportunities between Africa, the Gulf region, and global markets through culture, business, and innovation.
With a foundation rooted in legacy, a team driven by vision, and partnerships aligned for scale, Oscar “Ofoesho” Roberts, Ty “Swaggalee” Scott, and Big Steppa are setting the stage for a new era — one where music, culture, and global business intersect.
