From Homeless To A Platform Near You, Meet Oakland Emerging Artist Ms. Kash

Grind is an understatement when it comes to rising star Ms. Kash‘s hustle. Just a few years ago, this West Coast raptress was a homeless, single mother of two small children with a dream. Today, Ms. Kash is making those dreams a reality.

Born into a musically inclined family, Ms. Kash is the daughter of a member of the legendary R&B Soul group, The Golden Tones. Being exposed to all genres of music at a very early age played a major role in Kash’s artistry and development; creating a multi-faceted artist not only skilled in music, but acting, writing and modeling as well.

The East Oakland, California-bred phenom has been a forceful movement on the music scene in both the Bay Area, as well as the great Northwest. She’s worked with, and performed alongside artists such as Brandy, Ray J, Yo Yo, The Lady of Rage, Shawnna, Kokane, Suga T, New Boyz, Too Short, Snoop Dogg, Crucial Conflict and many more.

Ms. Kash released her first body of work as an EP, simply titled Reign in November 2019. Shortly after the release of Reign, Ms. Kash was chosen as a Favorite Artist by Seattle Public Library, and her Reign EP was placed in their Playback music catalogue. She followed up with singles “Bag Me Up” and “2FACED“, which have been making their rounds.

Recently, Ms. Kash solidified her position as the best, bringing home four awards at the 10th AnnualIndie Music Channel Awards in Hollywood, California. The Indie Music Channel Awards is a prestigious annual event where the best independent singers and bands of all genres of music from around the world are recognized for their outstanding achievement. Ms. Kash was recognized for “Best Rap/Hip Hop Artist” and “Best Rap/Hip Hop Song” for her song “She Go“, as well as “Best Rap Songwriter” and “Best Rap Video” for her single “Reign”; winning all 4 categories.
