Traphaven was exposed to a variety of music while growing up. Everything from jazz to Al Green, he became a fan of a multitude of music genres, which opened his mind to the possibility of pursuing his own artistic career. He started taking piano lessons at the age of 7 and later, began playing in church. A perfect combination of his interests and impressions, Traphaven tries to put out good music for those who are looking for an escape. Key musical influences include Norman “Keyz” Hurt, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix and so much more. Still working through his vices, he understands the responsibility that comes with being an artist – people look to artists to be community leaders and role models. While he wants to be that perfect role model for listeners, he is also a sum of his experiences, which could lead people down the wrong path, if taken too literally. During quarantine, he dropped his EP “Retarded Records” but now, he says it’s time to pick up the pace, so he’ll be dropping an album called “Tempo” very soon. Keep a lookout!
