Brooklyn Hip Hop Artist Malik English Releases Transparent New Hit “Faith”

Brooklyn Hip Hop artist Malik English is back with a raw and transparent new hit “Faith” available now on all streaming platforms. The 21 year old Trinidadian/Nigerian artist and producer from Crown Heights offers a sonically diverse sound this time around with moody alt-pop production and consciously relatable lyrics. The track tells a story about the hurdles of grappling with addition and the negative effects it can have on any relationship. The influences from Kanye and The Weeknd are clear; Malik presents a very unique take on a modern sound that appeals to both pop and Hip Hop lovers alike. The use of trippy synths and hard drums create a danceable groove paired seamlessly with dark, emotional lyrics.

Malik paints a picture of his journey toward imploring someone to have faith in him even during his lowest points. The limitless flows and melodies capture listeners ears from beginning to end. The official music video documents a DIY journey through a typical day in quarantined life of him having to deal with epic emotional turbulence in 2020. The cool color palette to match adds a perfect aesthetic to the track. Songs like this truly prove his ability to use musical influences to create his own sound and therefore his own lane in Hip Hop.

Malik’s success is progressively becoming widely recognized in his city; having performed at The Apollo and Bowery Electric to name a few, his hunger for the game maintains his drive and ambition that will inevitably set him apart from the pack. Often coined, ‘Glitter Trap’, his sound partnered with endlessly relatable lyrics will create a timeless flow for his music to live transparently and sonically in line with the masses.
