Adult Camming Company ImLive Launches Anti Dating Campaign in Collaboration with Celebrities, including Bella Thorne, to Condemn Coronavirus-Spreading Courtship

As Part of the Campaign, which Encourages Adult Camming as an Alternative to Dating, ImLive Will Give Away $50M for Users on to Spend with its Hosts on its Site

The Hosts of ImLive Have Also Launched a Petition Against Dating on Change.org

LONDON (APRIL 23, 2020) – In an effort to slow the spreading of COVID-19, which has claimed more than 45,000 lives in the U.S., ImLive.com, a site that offers the largest variety of adult webcam experiences, in collaboration with celebrities, including actress, director and singer Bella Thorne, is launching a campaign to condemn physical dating, which according to a recent survey, is still prevalent and potentially spreading the virus.

For the campaign, which bears the slogan “Stay Home, Don’t Date,” ImLive is giving away up to $50 million worth of a credits, the sites currency for purchasing private camming session experiences, to new users that commit to abstaining from dating during quarantine. To spread the message, ImLive hosts (cam models) created a video, and collaborated with celebrities and influencers to promote the campaign. In addition to Thorne, celebrities promoting the campaign include: rapper and MTV Wild N Out host, Justina Valentine, adult entertainment star Riley Reid, and rapper Almighty Jay. Almighty Jay, who was recently roasted in the media for ignoring social distancing guidelines, has since changed his position and is supporting the cause.

“I got involved with the #stayhomedontdate campaign because I realized that a lot of young folks aren’t taking this pandemic seriously,” said Almighty Jay. “I saw how it was affecting my community the hardest, so when I was presented the opportunity to work with ImLive to encourage people to stay at home, it made sense.  We all have to take this seriously…not worth the risk to date right now.”

To increase awareness and participation in the campaign, ImLive – which was founded in 2003 and lists over 80,000 hosts and approximately 62 million members – will donate up to $250,000 to the World Health Organization (WHO) to fund efforts that help stop the spread of COVID-19.

“It’s been a long time in quarantine and we’re all feeling disconnected from normal life. We know it’s tempting to go out and meet people, especially when you’re felling lonely. And according to a survey we conducted, there are still a lot of people who are physically dating.  Now, more than ever, it’s time to stay home and not date. Through our collective efforts, we know physical distancing works to flatten the curve. We at ImLive believe that our platform is best suited to assist people with their loneliness and horniness while in quarantine,” said Adrian Stoneman VP of ImLive.

ImLive’s survey, which was conducted on Pollfish, polled 1,000 Americans who have used dating sites in the last year. It found that 55% of people are still using dating sites during the Coronavirus, nearly 24% of people have physically met up with someone they matched with on a dating site since the Coronavirus became an issue and 12.5% of people admitted to being intimate with someone they don’t live with during the virus.

From April 22 to 26, ImLive will host parties on its site to further encourage social distancing. Hundreds of hosts will be dressed like angels and available to chat about the petition and their lives.
