These gentle and chewy cookies come for you in partnership with my friends over at Almond Breeze This season they’re the state almondmilk from the Team USA Volleyball and as you know, Almond Breeze has been a long-standing partner of a lot of healthy AK dishes! Today I’m bringing you a flourless protein cookie recipe made out of their almondmilk + other nutritious ingredients to help you offer your best.
Now let’s make contact with cookie discussion…
Frequently when people hear the term ‘protein’ anything within a recipe they think of bodybuilders or professional sportsmen. Because something has proteins powder in it, doesn’t indicate it’s meant for a certain kind of diet. Actually, it’s actually the opposite; protein is intended for EVERY kind of diet. Did you know every single cell in our bodies contains protein? You need it in your diet to help your body restoration cells and make fresh ones!
Thus let’s eat ALL the cookies. Mmmmkay.
Before creating these cookies, I thought long and hard about what goes into to a healthy balanced snack or treat. First, I wanted to be sure it was an absolutely delish. Second, I needed it to add healthy fats, fiber and protein to help keep you full and satisfied.
The result? A tasty 110 calorie cookie with 2.5g fiber & nearly 5g protein.
Almond butter provides healthy fat, fiber and proteins to maintain you complete and pleased. Almonds certainly are a great for your skin layer because they provide an excellent source of supplement B & E and botin. Eat ’em up.
Almondmilk. I really like using Unsweetened Original Almond Air flow Almondmilk within this recipe because it provides moisture to the cookies, but also keeps them dairy products free.
Protein powder. Don’t be afraid of using a little protein powder. I prefer vegan protein powders (Aloha or Vega are wonderful).
Coconut flour. The most absorbent flour ever. I love the way the coconut flour keeps the cookies smooth and slightly sugary for days.
Alright, it’s time to go make these protein cookies. I am snacking on them after my workout routines and love how filling they’re. xo!

In a medium bowl, combine almond butter, coconut sugar, salt, egg, almondmilk and vanilla extract. Mix until ingredients are well combined. Next blend in protein natural powder, coconut flour and cooking soda until well combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
Use a small cookie scoop to drop cookie dough with the tablespoonful onto ready baking sheet. The dough will be slightly sticky. Somewhat flatten the tops of the cookies. Bake for 9-11 mins until somewhat golden brown on the sides. Allow cookies to great on cookie sheet for five minutes before transferring to a cable rack to finish air conditioning. Makes 12 cookies.
For the protein natural powder: I tested these cookies with the next protein powders with good results: Vega Coconut Almond proteins powder, Aloha vanilla protein natural powder and Bob’s Red Mill Whey proteins powder. I love utilizing the vegan protein powders for more nutrition.
These cookies get softer as times pass. Shop them within an airtight container or freeze them and thaw one out when you wish to enjoy.
I would not advocate subbing some other flour for the coconut flour.
I have not really tested these cookies to become vegan. Please i want to know if you do!
