What inspired your artist name? And where did you get the name from?

When I played football, one of my favorite players was Adam (Pacman) Jones. So I took “Pac” from that.  And my favorite artist was Lil Wayne. That’s how I came up with the “Weezy” in my name. I started going by PacWeezy after high school and it got stuck with me.

Where are you from (born and raised)? And where did you grow up?

I was born in Ghana, Africa. My parents moved me and my brothers to Seattle in 2001.

Do you also write, produce, and/or engineer your own music?

mixing/ hosting/ composing

When did you start doing music? And when did you start taking it seriously?

I started making music in 2017. I have always been a music collector. I have over 10,000 songs on my laptop. While always being a music fan, I always wanted to do something involving music. I used to help my friend get features and beats for his tracks because I knew a lot of underground artists and producers. But he didn’t take it seriously enough so in 2017 I decided to start releasing mixtapes and connecting with some of the artists and producers I knew. Then I just started releasing songs and also help some of the artists and producers I know get recognition.

Why is music a passion of yours?

I’ve always loved listening to music, especially underground artists. I was the type of person that loved to show people music they haven’t heard before. So that inspired me to look for artists that people don’t know much about. In doing so, I found that I really loved the west coast sound. I then realized that many artists in California do not get the recognition they deserve so I wanted to help them do so. I started connecting artists and producers all over California and Washington, did some collabs with artists that rarely work together to make really good songs. Over the years, my ideas have evolved and now I host singles/mixtapes/albums and collab with artists all around the west coast.

Who/what inspires your sound/music?

All the west coast legends. E 40, IamSu, Too Short, Snoop Dogg, Mozzy, YG, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Skeme, DJ Khaled, DJ Drama, DJ Carisma, and much more.

What are your goals when it comes to your music career?

Making music into my full-time career and using my brand to invest in others and own multiple properties.

What impact are you looking to make with your music? Who do you want to impact?

I want to be able to help other artists with talent get the recognition they deserve. There are a lot of talented artists out there that get overlooked.

How many albums/EPs have you released to date?

Faded Friday (2018), City2city Coast2Coast EP (2018), City2city Coast2Coast (2019), Before The Fame EP (2020)
